Anybody else going to race the end of Feb. Wondered what kind of combination was competitive in a Mopar in the heads up classes? I was going to try and run the van in the 6.50 class. I do hope it warms up a tad by then.

Bob, it would be great to see you out there racing again. is that the same engine combo we built from 2003 ???

The race Mr.P is in Valdosta Ga at the South Georgia Motorsports raceway .It is a large radial and true 10'5 race put on by Donald long.The race has a boost verus no boost format for 20 thousand.Check out yellowbullet for more information as he post pretty regularly on their or check out www.dragraceplace.com and see the videos,some are pretty funny with the radial and slick guys talking trash ,I'm going myself to help a friend ,as mine is not quite finished in time.Dates are feb 25 thur 27 with racing on friday and saturday -sunday if rain either day.

Same motor. Never thought after I ran at Bradenton that it would be over 5 years before I cranked it again  I guess I'll find out how a couple of the valve springs liked being compressed that long. Put fresh gas in it and it didn't even turn over one time before it fired right up. 
I have to slow down about five tenths to run the 6.50 index. I was shifting on time to slow me down but any type of timers are illegal. I'm going to try and use a RPM controller to shift. Haven't fully figured out how to use it yet. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Sounds like racers are coming from all over. Twenty thousand $ to win I guess got their attention.

I would definately try to be there if you can. I would, but the new baby is coming any day. Look for our stickers. They will be on a bunch of cars there. If you guys think of it, and have a camera handy, snap pics of cars with those stickers. I'll make it worthwhile.. Thanks and good luck. That van will be wild kicking butt down there..

I dont think we (the wife and I) will be able to make
it... the 27th is the day we check out of the condo
we are renting down here.... if it was the week before
we would have traveled up there then came back down

We'll be there running in Ultimate street in the loud orange 69 Dart. The $10,000 275 radial race.Shooting for some 5.20s, Hoping to go a round or two.

I have some friends in Phio and WI coming to this one.. There cars are 325 tire radial cars and rim the 4.40 to 4.50 range... SHould be a vlast... 2500hp street cars...
