I have a 71 Cuda 340 4 sp. with power discs. The master cylinder in it has a casting number of 3629963(I hope that is the number by reading it with a mirror and flashlight ).Correct me if I'm wrong,I think I should have #2229171.What M/C do I have?
Thanks Bob

I have a master cylinder that came off of a 71 E-Body, 3699263. I don't know if it is correct or not.
2229171 would be correct for a 70 E-Body.

yep, the 2229171 is 70 Ebody front disc, I have a correct 71 front disc mc, but it is on yellowsixpack's car until he puts his 171 on, don't know the '71 # off hand, maybe mastershake340 will see the thread on this and chime in, he's got the cast #'s down, twodoorpost also could help out - Joe

The correct casting number for '71 power disc brake (A,B,C and E body) is 3461187.

Chart with some minor corrections (The casting number for the 67-70 A body had a typo and the model year info for the last one was corrected for the E body. Was there a '71 manual disc brake B body? If that started in '72 like the E, I'll edit that too).

I've got a 3461187 removed from an unrestored 71 charger, I never really ck'd but I thought it was the original one.
