Mr.Mopar OP member Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 148 Spring Grove, PA, US	i have a 8 1/4 limited slip for sale and i had several guys ask if it would fit there cars.. so, this came out of a 98 dakota and has an ABS "sensor gear?" on it and the old ones dont.. so would this fit a 70's 8 1/4 rear?? are the splines different?? 440newport master Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 4,587 St. John's Newfoundland	1969-96 are 27 spline 1997 and newer are 29 spline. It will fit in an older rear end but you'd need to run 29 spline axles, probably custom length too.
