H E L P Is there any information out there about converting an old sled like this 55 Chrysler Windsor to disc brakes? What parts can be used and has anyone tried this before. The car has a current 383 and aluminum 727 in it, updated drive shaft and rear axle, but it takes FOREVER to stop and you have to have legs like King Kong to bring it down even from reasonable speeds.

Let me know. You can E mail me if you wish at Racewthrev@aol.com

Thanks

Disc Brakes

I had a '56 Belvedere as my first Mopar and my first V8. I'd give almost anything to have that car back again.

Maybe a 76-80 F body front end?
sold a complete set-up to a guy who put it under a 52 Cranbrook. He got the K frame with motor mounts mounting bolts and iso blocks, power disc brakes(complete)with master booster prop valve and brake pedal, power steering box pump and lines, adjustable suspension and a sway bar in a 4 bolt package for under $300. I threw in the steering column with keys Seemed pretty happy to me when he called me after installing it!
