I hope you don't mind me posting this question here, but I know people from this forum have dealt with Ishihara-Johnson before.

I bought and paid for a crank scraper, including shipping, direct from Ishihara-Johnson in early December. I still have not received the scraper, and have sent a number of emails to the company asking for shipping details so I can try and find the part. I have yet to receive any sort of response from anyone at Ishihara-Johnson. Since I am in Australia, I thought I would ask if anyone knows if this company is still open for business, as I don't want to waste a middle of the night phone call?

Also, as I paid for the scraper and shipping by Paypal, do I have any sort of refund claim if I don not receive the product I paid for?

Yes, you have to go to "Resolution" through Ebay/PayPal.

I think he may be just backed up with work.
A few years ago, I bought 2 slant six scrapers from him and paid with PayPal. It took 2 months for delivery. I had forgot I had ordered them and was suprised when they did show up. He did have a note in the box apologizing for the delay.

I've sent them about 4 emails asking for this info, and had no response.

Yes, that is them.

B5 Bee - I really do hope that it will be a similar case with my order. Prior to me paying for the scraper, I had a number of emails conversing with Kevin, making sure the scraper I ordered was correct for my engine.

I don't really want to force him to contact me by cancelling my payment, so I will wait a few more weeks and hope that something shows up.

Even if you're busy as h@@@, what is the big deal about answering a dozen or so emails? I don't get it. I handle aprox. 75 or greater transactions daily, and most of these interrupt some other transaction. How busy can they be?

I ordered a scrapper from them before Christmas and just got it a few weeks ago. They usually answered my calls. I know they had their air compressor go out on them in January. I would try and call them if it is possible.

I'd call them. If you don't get anyone leave a message. They always called me back right away.

I'm in the same situation as you are. I ordered a scrapper on Dec. 1st. Received my credit card bill on Dec. 31st and noticed that it was billed. I then called them about it, and was promised it would be shipped within the next week. Jan. 28th I again called them, and was told the same thing. Still haven't received it as of today, so I called them and was again promised it would go out next week. Just as a heads up, I can only get someone to answer the phone between 4:30--5:30 p.m. central time.

Yep, kind of slow with getting the part out. But well worth the wait IMHO! Nice piece! I was calling once a week asking about mine 2 yrs ago. Spoke to the wife I believe, but again worth the wait!

I got a scraper from them a few years back for a small block 4 inch stroke.

Had some questions and emailed them and they called a few days later.

Ordered it and it took a few weeks but I got it and its still on the engine working great.

Yes, I really don't want to cancel the order. I guess they must be busy. I'll keep trying with the emails, it would be nice to get some sort of acknowledgement, just to say we are a bit behind. Might even try a midnight (Australian time)phone call.

Not to go OT...but how do these attach to the block?? Between the pan and windage tray?? Or do you use the windage tray with this??
