They're not "Julian" dates, they're based on a 10,000 day calendar and those don't match the year of the transmissions.

Most automatic transmissions I/we see are from the Kokomo, IN transmission plant & the part number is preceded by " PK". What plant is identified by the " H"? I'm guessing that this " H" plant coded things differently, anyone have another early trans to check? If the 252 & 304 are days of the year (252 = Thursday, September 9, 1965 & 304 = Sunday, October 31 1965). I'm not sure that works with one of the days ending up on Sunday. RacerBill, got pics?

PK - Chrysler Transmission plant in Kokomo, IN 3410668 - automatic trans used in 383 4bbl b & E-bodies 1 - (actually a "L") - ?? 3028 - assembly date Tuesday, November 11, 1969 (Veteran's Day) 6913 - unit number (anyone know if this is - day, week, month, year??)
