Just ask Dwayne which gasket he would suggest, I would just use a Felpro... they have always worked well for me but 90% of my engine stuff is SB ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

The felpro gaskets I used with Eddy heads had the fire rings real close to the edge of the cylinders he also brought this up when I was talking to him about the using the SRs. And at the time I told him I would probably order some cometecs but I'm not sure now after reading about people having trouble with them leaking water.
Felpro makes a couple of different bore sizes, dependent on your bore

something larger than your bore... I dont recall the different diameters that Felpro offers... check with Dwayne ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

I blew a set of the Fel pro race 1009 and a set of the stanadrd duty 8517 PT out in my 4.380 bore with SR heads twice(12.9 to 1 comp. ratio) ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rant.gif) Get the larger bore race and marine gaskets for the 4.440 bore size ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Twocents.gif) Or a set of the Edelbrock head gaskets for the 4.440 size bore ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif)

I ordered the edelbrock 8519pti gaskets 4.450 .038 compressed and they came in an edel pakage but they have mr.gasket stamped on them ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/whistling.gif) . They measure 4.50 perpindicular and parallel and .047-.051 thick ootb they look goood on the block we'll see what they look like when the heads get here. I was leaning toward MLS gaskets but the machine work on the block didn't look to be smooth enough ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tsk.gif) .
