Factory Vinyl Top - 70 Coronet - Stapled to the car???

The only staples were in the corners where it might shrink a bit and pull loose from the adhesive. There were 3 to 5 staples in each corner. Was that common? Should I look for a heavy duty stapler to do that again or is the adhesive better these days? Any advice available would be appreciated. Thanks! JK mity225@mchsi.com

With todays adhesive I would not worry about staples..

OK, good advice. I wasn't looking forward to another $60 dollar tool that I'd only use once or twice anyway.
Any suggestions on the best type of adhesive to buy for the top? I've got to get this multi-year project on the road this summer!

I have had good luck with 3m and Dap brand adhesive..
