I'm having a heck of time trying to remove the wheel hub from a friends 96 Ram 2500 4x4.
I have removed the hub nut and the 4 bolts on the back side of the hub and with a gear puller I can't get that thing to move. What am I missing?
Yes the caliper is off!

Just got through doing this on my 99 Ram, sounds like you have everything off, the front retainer plate that's secured by the bolts on the backside that you removed, are all that retain the assy, other than the axle shaft nut assy, it's just a very tight fitting assy, don't use any heat, as that will compound the issuse, I started with a heavy duty scraper blade slowly driving it around the hub assy to remove it from the stepped bore

just did 1, lots of hammering from different angles to open a seam and a cold chisel to finally seperate things.

Try inserting some "donor" bolts into the threads a couple of turns and whack the bolts...Use Lots of penetrating oil...

Step 1: remove 3 of the 4 bolts
Step 2: loosen the 4th half way
Step 3: put a short socket with a 3 inch extension on the 4
and have someone start the truck and turn the wheel
until the extension hits the axle tube then force
the wheel further so the socket/extension pushes
the bolt thru and the hub off.( some stubborn ones
require moving the setup to the opposite hole and
repeat.)
This method has never failed me and I have done hundreds.
