Rebuilt 727,with shift kit, new turbo action tight 10", just good o'l dextron or something out there thats way better these days, heard that a quart of motor oil in the mix is a plus, is this true? Just a street car that goes to the track once in awhile. Thanks.

With that tight tc,dextron will be fine.nix the motor oil! But I would use the B&M trick shift tran fluid. Add a tran cooler if you don't have one already.

That B&M fluid ? ...decent stuff but big-bux. I would just use a Ford ATF.

An add-on trans cooler with a tight converter ? .... you can if you want .. but you could kill some of the stall-speed.

The radiator cooler/warmer should be enough.

The Ford/B&M fluid should make for firmer shifts, but any fluid that is made for a torque converter clutch should be good too.
Since my garage does not have any Ford vehicles, I'm planning on running ATF+4 in the fresh 727 in the van (same as the truck and the 518 in the 40). Less stocking.
