I am ready to purchase the front end components for my 528 Hemi project do I have to use the thick hemi damper? I am useing a K-1 4.150 stroke crank stock size K-1 rods and 4.500 Diamond pistons. Could I use the thinner 440 style damper and pulleys, that way I don't have to buy the Hemi pulleys. Will it line up?

Crate motors use the thin balancer, and I dont belive there is a thick balancer that is SFI approved..
The factory 440 pulleys should work with thin balancer.

MP sells a Thick SFI balancer BUT it has a recessed face , you would use the WEDGE pulleys with it .

But yes you can use a thin balancer if you want , as stated the crate motors come that way now .

Thanks guys that was the info I needed. Looks like I can save a couple $$ on the pulleys anyway.
