That is the sticker that goes on the super stock cars. I had one in the glove box of my 65 Hemi Coronet lighweight. I would not have a clue why you have one. I would be someone put it there.

I did not think it goes with my car but according to a restoration book I have MOTORBOOKS WORKSHOP Restoration guide 1968 to 1971 it does say QUOTE "" Those cars with the 426 Hemi in 1968 and 1969 only could be ordered with manual steering gear box as a delete option on the power steering. In that case the Barracuda's gearbox, part 2537728, with 16:1 ratio was used. This is a very rare find and was offered only on those cars that were set up to go racing."" So I'm not sure how to find out any more information on this.

I remember when they gave you 12/12 on the Hemi.Just as long as you didnt race it.Right everyone bought a Hemi to drive to church on Sundays.There was an old guy here that had a 68 Hemi and it was his daily driver.I think he was the only person Ive ever seen that just drove one then and never got into it.He just liked big motors.He traded it for a Mustang with the Boss 429.Rocky

I'm being dead serious here: No such book in existance.

Mopars are not like Chevies and Fords, there were many variables throughout the years, plants, production periods, and models, and even within the specific models there were dozens of items that varied from one car to the next, writing an accurate restoration guide would be basically impossible. The best possible guide for your car is the car iteself, looking for clues during dissasembly is a key to doing an accurate job on that particular example. The worst case scenario being a basket case or previously restored car, the best case would be an untouched low mile car (even a well worn example).

If you really want the best guidance become a fixture here on Moparts and ask allot of questions (preferably BEFORE you start to restore something, not after looking for confirmation as so often is the case here). Posting detailed pics of the subject part is always going to get you the best help.

I hear that brother. My car was previously restoed and i find many things were incorrect. I had a 1 owner GTX a few years back that was unmolsted. Tried useing one of those resto guides. Many things did not match the real car. I threw the book out. This time i'm sticking with the guys on Moparts. So far plenty of good info.

I bought that same book years ago and thought that it had lots of great information in it and it still does. But the more I learned and compared what I knew to be correct on my 68 Road Runner, I discovered that the book had several mistakes in it. I really don't want to knock the author too much because over the years more weird stuff has surfaced about our cars and the knowledge base for our hobby gets better and better all the time. I can't answer for all the B-body varieties in the book, only for my situation. Great thing about the internet is that there is a lot of information out there, and the bad thing about the internet is that there is a lot of information out there... Probably one of your best resources for restoring your car will be this site. I started by reading all the A-12 forums initially since they were "close" to what I had and a lot of details for those cars carries over to ours. I have owned my Road Runner for 18 years and I'm still learning new stuff about it all the time. I asked plenty of questions during my restoration and used the search function quite often. This site works two ways, and I tried to provide answers for questions or post pictures when I could to balance all the information I was taking away. Good luck with your project. There are plenty of 68 Road Runner fans on this website!
