Question....where do any of you have your street/strip cars insured? I had talked to Grundy on the phone and explained I had a vehicle I wanted to insure while crusing, storing, and transporting. They said no problem, just no coverage on the track. That was what I wanted. I just got my check back and said DECLINED, "We do not insure race cars". Anybody have any suggestions to a company that will insure this way. I never have had any insurance on my other race cars as they were not licesensed or street legal. I thought I would do this one right. Thanks.
If you like drag racing, support your local track.

That says "Stated value"...that would worry me. They can pay you whatever they want unless it's "agree value".

Correct. Stated Value/Stated Amount is worthless. Agreed Value is what you want.
Also, with regard to Hagerty...vehicles with roll cages are specifically mentioned as being INELIGIBLE for coverage through Hagerty. Now, lots of people seem to have Hagerty and have cages anyway, including many (like Thumperdart) who had the cage in when the insurance was obtained.
Reading numerous stories like that, as well as other stories about conversations with Hagerty employees about ways to get around not having a locked garage, driving to work, etc...leads me to believe that there are at least a handful of people at Hagerty that have no idea what they're doing. I've read accounts here of numerous people being given horrible advice by Hagerty people about what is/isn't/might be covered. If I had Hagerty, and I had a cage in my car, I'd be looking to switch ASAP, because again, their underwriting guidelines CLEARLY EXCLUDE any car with a cage. I can see that being a problem for someone when they have a claim. You'd have to prove to Hagerty that Hagerty knew your car was caged, and insured it anyway. That would be tough to do unless the idiot employee that approved it was willing to admit they screwed up. Just my , having been an adjuster for 17+ years.
Earning every penny of that moderator paycheck.

100% If you have an accident you will more than likely have your claim denied.
