I see this little doo hickey sticking out of the Voltage limiter. Is this little tab the ground? I am looking in the service manual and thats what it says but my original cluster doesnt seem to have a ground attached. If this isn't where the ground goes for the cluster, where would I put it?

The tab connection goes to a shunt bypass capacitor. Since the voltage limiter has internal make/break contacts like a voltage regulator this helps to minimize external click/pops heard through the radio...

Just my $0.01..

one of the 3 prongs on the other side is the ground. follow the copper strips and you'll see which one goes to a mounting screw for ground
