Anybody have one go south? Took a friends car to do the brakes, trans went out. Was going along w/ the cruise @ 75, car like shifts down to 3rd, I let off thinking it'll shift up into OD once there's no load, it doesn't. Slow down to about 55 and try to drive to the next exit, it just completely goes out, no gears work at all. Fluid level is good, nothing leaking, thoughts??? Dealer said 4k to do the repair!

Common problem I take it? Found a thread through Google where the valve body was a suggested problem. Your thoughts on that please.

if it doesn't move at all I doubt its the Valve Body I dont see many problems with them

I have also heard that the trans cooler in the radiator fails and puts coolant in trans is a problem on these models.
