Will a '67 225 /6 out of Dart fit in a '62 Valiant with no mounting issues? Valiant was a original /6 car.

you may have clearance issues at the valve cover. The early ones are strange there. If you have the car, take a look.

I have the '67 engine and a guy wants the motor and tranny for the Valiant he does not have the '62 motor. Not just a bolt and go?

Not sure but maybe the oil pan is different?

You will have to use the '62 motor mounts, carburetor, intake manifold, pan, and pickup tube, the '67 stuff is way different.

You can use the '67 intake and carb if you switch over to a cable throttle, '62 probably has rod style linkage.

You may need to find a driveshaft too. The '62 was ball & trunnion.

Since the 62 Valiant owner doesn't have the original engine, let me just point out that any 1966 and earlier carbs, mounts, and oil pans will work, not just 62.

62-6 chassis/suspensions are dimensionally the same. 61-earlier fronts are different; as are 67-later.

1. The Valiant owner planned to swap the 67 engine and trans into the 62, so the crank/converter fit wouldn't be an issue anyway;

2. The change occurred in the 68 model year. A 67 slant-6 engine will bolt up to a 62 slant-6 trans/converter w/o a problem.
