Anybody have experience with Borla Pro XS muffs? They would go on a 540" hemi street Duster. I'm looking for something that's not overly loud.

from some posts here and on some other forums it seems like there 3" pro xs is just a 2½" core with 3" inlets and outlets wich makes them unecesery as 3" mufflers, i just guesed that this whas the size you would go for on such a big engine? except for that i realy like borla they make some very nice mufflers

look for as big of a case as you can fit under the car....magnaflow has some nice offerings for reasonable price.

Here is my 440 Duster with 3" Borla Pro XS mufflers. I like them, free flowing and not too loud. Although the sound has changed from when I first installed them. I think they keep sounding better and better.

Although I think recording my car with open headers damaged my camera because it sounds much better in person.

I have them on my Demon- 416 W2 motor(around 540 hp) with 3 inch pipe to muffs and 2.5' tailpipes with 3" x-pipe. At first I wasn't sure what to make of them- really quiet and tame. I wondered if they were too quiet(but had a nice sound) no rap, raspy sound- more like a deep throaty rumble like a really healthy stocker. But they do have a awesome sound at full wail- now at about 600 miles on them they are getting louder and sound even better. I love 'em and would buy them again in a instant- I've had tons of compliments on the sound. In my opinion they sound WAYYY better than all the common choices(flowmaster, magnaflow etc..)
I'm not sure what the sound would even compare with...

I Love them. When I had my prostreet Dart, I had 4" Borla and I had a number of people as what muffler I was running because they liked how they sounded. Now at 4" they weren't very quite.

I'm guessing the X-pipe and full exhaust has a lot to do with it being quieter as when I had slipped the muffs on the header collectors they were substantially louder but still a very controlled sound.
