I’m debating on installing a R0/W0 hood scoop on my 66’ Coronet convertible or to work with the stock hood when the RPM is installed. I like the stealth stock look, but want the benefits of increased/clean air. I think Lefty posted that he pulled it off with a drop base.
How much drop base is too much, any similar situations, and can I get some pictures of convertibles with scoops.
Thanks

On one of my cars I noticed a scoop sealed to the carb was worth 2-3 tenths in the quarter.

This might need to be a different thread, but what is an acceptable distance between the hat and the top of the carb?
