red for 68 & 69 and orange in 70. My neighbor even had a 69 he bought new that had a red tin. It may be possible there was a change in 69 sometime, but I know they did have red in 69.

One of the '69s was an A/C car. All were St. Louis, except one'68 from the L.A. plant. IIRC, the latest SPD of my '69s was in April '69, and that may have been the Air Grabber car.
For sure that Air Grabber one would have been ORANGE and for another obvious reason
