One is alot heavier gauge and little longer with a heavier spring, this i believe is the 70 version. The other type is much lighter and i belive 71 and on...

MoreParts super stock M Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,194	I've had a couple of consoles with that strap. I've had one or two 71+ styles, that I don't remember that strap on, but I wouldn't swear by it. I also kind of remember that hinge being a little lighter duty too, but I wouldn't swear by that either. Hopefully, someone who has access to some originals will step in for you. If you like, I can post a pic of what I have later.
