Does Rupert do that? I heard he is one of the best for Alcohol carbs.

I had Quick Fuels do mine... your getting new booster,
metering blocks, pumps, correct bleeds, polished and
flowed... to me that price wasnt bad considering
I didnt take a month at the track tring to tune
the whole thing.. its not just change some jets
and think your ready.
I put my 1050 dom on it was was perfect on idle but
I did jet up 2 jet sizes for top end
You can look at this site for more info
EDIT
A Demon is nothing but a Holley with a different
name on it with different shaped bowls

Was considering E85 conv but don't know if I'd pick up much as I run open chamber with about 10.5 to 1 on pump premium.
I've seen that E85 is more consistant E.T wise but you also have to hunt around for consistant octane levels too.

Here is another cat that is supposed to be the E85 pimp.

Chris, 1-320-352-2051

website is classicmotorsports.com

I was told his conversions are around 250 a piece and that he has been doing the conversions for ALOT longer than most of the other guys.

I personally recommend Mark Sullens (DragChevette) on www.e85forum.com. His website is posted above.

Sometimes you get what you pay for. For a top notch carb conversion done right, look at all the parts Mr.Pbody posted. If a vendor isn't replacing all that, it isn't done all the way. You can make them run with less, but it won't get all the performance you could.

You should also consider just buying a new E85 carb. Eric68 on www.e85forum.com sells them. This way your good gasoline carb can either be reused, or sold to offset the cost of a new carb. A good running carb (on any fuel) is worth keeping or having another racer use.

Im not sure I agree with this statement. For instance, metering blocks. I dont see that you HAVE to go to aftermarket metering blocks to have a complete conversion. The guy I listed modifies stock blocks (Hence a little cheaper out the door price), as most guys used to do.

Further in 13 months time, one of the companies listed has gone up 150 bucks for a conversion. That is a pretty steep price increase. Even for todays (cough cough) economy.

I agree you can modify the metering blocks instead of using the Quickfuel E85 blocks. That is what I did when I did my own carb back in 2008. The E85 metering blocks are not that expensive, and you do get something for your money:
- more adjustability (emulsions, IFR)
- anodized inside and out for corrosion prevention
- no porosity like cast blocks (potential)

A $400 conversion with billet E85 metering blocks is a better value than a $300 conversion with drilled Holley blocks.

I believe in the booster change also, but you can get it to run without it. But not optimized.

I had John Kyle at APD do mine and it works great. I don't think it was over $500, but I thought a while back someone said there was a kit for around $100?
