I bought some Wheel Vintiques 15"x8" deep rally rims and need the deepest available trim ring. I don't care if they are brushed aluminum or polished. They don't have to be Mopar ones either. As long as they are new, look similar to the originals I would be happy.

So far, the deepest I found is 2 3/4" which seems a bit shallow. I am going to call Wheel Vintiques Tech to see how deep their standard 15"x8" trim ring is.

Anyone know a place or some info as far as the deepest 15" trim ring made? Ideally, 3" would be better...and 4" deep would be perfect...

Most 70's vettes had 8" steel ralley wheels on them. I have no idea what the backspacing is or if they will work though.

I have the corvette 15x8 rings on my 15x7 early model steelies and they fit well. These rings won`t fit a fifth avenue 15x7 because the ring is too deep, I think 3.5" but can`t remember exactly. $40 for the set of repops at Carlisle.

I was also thinking the Corvette 15"x8" ring...but I don't know the depth

Gamagoat: Can you measure the depth of those repop trim rings you bought at Carlisle? How much were they and do you remember who you bought them from? Was it a wheel vendor or? I will be there in July so I'd like to pick up some!

Anything OVER 3" would be perfect

BTTT. I orgered some 15x8 magnums with painted rims, to use trim rings like the factory. The manufacturer does not do trim rings and I am interested in which aftermarket one will look best. Are the corvette similar to the original Mopar?

hate to say it but corvette rallye rims trim rings would be what you want. dime-o-dozen.
4" deep.

Did the 15X8 Super Coupe wheels have a trim ring?? I have that wheel (narrower for a Magnum GT) and those have rings. Just a thought for a Mopar one.

If you are going to Carlisle, there is a guy that had a pile of trim rings. I picked up some deep rings for the same 8" wheels and they looked great. Don't know the brand, but they matched the stock mopar ones perfectly.

Anyone know how to get in contact w/ this guy? I need 2 trim rings that will fit the 15x8 rallye wheels on my 70 Challenger. Thanks.

I called Wheel Vintiques yesterday and spoke with a tech guy there. He was 100% sure that a GM/Corvette Trim Ring will not fit a Wheel Vintiques Mopar Rally Wheel under any condition.

As far as that guy at Carlisle...you mentioned him having a pile of trim rings...not for anything, I can't use trim rings that were heaped into piles on tarps. I've seen that guy and those trim rings looked like junk or barely driver quality grade...
