I need some help....how do you go about putting the hood springs (coil type) back on to the hood hinges without dismanteling the entire front end??? Just trying to find out if there is a better and/or easier way to do this....The car is a 69....Thanks

Remove the splash shields and pry the hinges off the two attaching points. They're on there with push-on clips. Taking the whole hinge out to work on them is the only way to attach the coils. Here is the only pic I have of that area. Notice the hinge is already loose from the top pin.
