I have searched and cant find the answer I am looking for.

I have a set of chrome mirrors that are pitted. I was wondering if I sanded them down and painted them would the paint stick ? Thankyou

If you can't glassbead or sandblast the mirrors, at least machine/DA/sand them with 80 grit until the chrome no longer has any shine, then etch prime them, as the etchant will "bite" into the sanded chrome base, do not epoxy coat, it will only peel off, prime over the etchprimer, then topcoat
