Pulled from another site......

I got a phone call from a long time friend who has been in the process of building a drag car for his 17 year old for the past 2 1/2 years telling me how he went out to his garage this morning and discovered it had been broken into and most if not all the new parts left to finish the car, most still in boxes, had been taken along with various tools. The guy has struggled for the past year with many different issues bringing him down, and the one thing he and his son were finally looking forward to was taking that car to the track this spring and making a some runs. Chad, his son, is totally destroyed by this. Not oly did these pieces of shyt take from them, they threw gravel and dirt down the intake of the engine. I'm going to try and help out as much as I can cause I know our local police won't go out of their way to catch these ****s. If anyone could help it would be a blessing, maybe set up a paypal account for them. Here's a list of what all was taken/missing:
*NEW Weld Alumastar 2.0 Fronts
*NEW Simpson Bandit Helmet
*NEW MSD 7AL
*NEW K&R Delay box
*Holley 1050 Dominator
*Grant GT Steering wheel
*NEW NOS Powershot system +(misc. solnoids)
*NEW (2)Optima red top batteries
*Dewalt cordless drill & bits
*Kolbalt impact
*Set of Craftsman wrenches
*NEW Simpson cam-lock belts
*Meziere water pump
Please be on the lookout for any of these items, taken form Knoxville, TN area.
Thanks

Yeah it could be legit, or it could be a scam, too. Claim a theft, set up a PayPal (biggest thieves out there) account and wait for donations to come in. I'd need to see a police report documenting the items stolen before I'd even consider it legit. Sorry for the cynicism, but people have become such despicable low-lives these days that they'd try just about anything...

i dont know what i would do if i went out and saw my stuff was gone.
i would lose it.
My car got broke into a couple years ago in a parking deck.
I went looking for them.
I told the police there lucky i didnt get to them,
or they would not have been walking, talking, and barely breathing through a tube in there butt!

If he has homeowners insurance, it will probably cover the loss. Most do(IMO).

Sounds like young punks. Look for people that know you/your son.

IMO I think it was some jealous teenagers that just couldnt stand that kid having a bass ass drag car. I dont see an adult throwing gravel down the intake.

Also, I would think it was someone who knew what was in the garage, maybe having seen it at one time.
