Hey guys, does anyone have a JIG to drill Magnum heads for LA style intakes??? Need to get my heads installed and I do not want to buy a different intake. Already have an AirGap. I would gladly pay for the use and get it back to the owner ASAP. Matt

I rented the original jig and it made the new holes slightly off & I thought maybe I didn't have it bolted down tight or something since alot of other people rented it & I was the only complaint that I remember. Next time I will just measure the locations of the individual holes and w the LA head on its side measure the angles & redrill them down on the mag head to the same angle/location as they are on the LA's w a drill press.

It got retired. Some guy bought it for his own personal use from what I gathered & no more renting it. EDIT I remember that later on someone posted the dimentions/angles as iirc the 2 end holes are at a diff height but dont know if it was put in the archives or not.

I did it myself. the holes are physically in the same place as the LA, but the LA holes are 7 degrees from perpendicular to the intake face...I did mine on a bridgeport with an angle table at a machine shop that charges $15/hr to use their tools. I used an LA gasket to make sure I had the holes in the proper position.

Hey Matt, check with HotRodDave. He made a jig, and posted pictures of it with very detailed instructions on here. Looked for it, but think it was removed awhile ago. His post was somewhere around the end of January 2009. Tried to find a picture of the jig he made, but haven't been able to locate it in the thousands of parts and tools I saved on the 'puter. If someone asks him again, he may post the same ones again with the intructions, if he still has them on his computer.

Thanks to all, I may be able to do this on my own. Using the intake gasket will help. I will keep looking.

https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...e=0#Post4960183I dropped off a bunch of suplies to get made into jigs to sell but have not got them back as jigs yet, there too busy Free-handing it with a drill and intake gasket from an LA ain't going to cut it, there is a wicked step and funky buisness when you first start the hole. Mabey you could do it if you were bigger and stronger than Shaq or arnold
