I am starting to build a 73 Roadrunner clone out of a Satellite sebring plus. The Satellite was a 318 car and I am putting a 440 in it. The 440 will fit without changing inner fender and K-frame right? I'm not trying to build a showcar just a street cruiser/toy.

Yes, it will fit right in there with the small block inner fender...You'll have to watch which headers you get so the fitting issues are minimal{I used hooker competition}...Always check the headers on the engine{while on the stand} first for spark plug/boot clearance... Then be prepared to pull the headers back off for clearancing to the car body during the install.. .Use the Schumacher mounts link for a trouble free swap...And don't forget, you'll need the "971" big block pan to fit in the 73-up isolated k frame{cordoba, charger, magnum etc...}Or if going the new route... Here's a link to the previous thread in the moparts "best of" with pics and part numbers... link...And lastly...consider the k frame upgrade to the solid spacers to eliminate flex and/or bigger torsion bars for the added weight...Check in the b body section for Cudazappa's cool billet spacer kit...Hope this helped !!! Yep w/ screamin. My 74 satellite's got a 440 in an original 318 car. The passenger side inner fender is tighter, but even my el cheapo summit headers fit fine on that side, I just had to slightly ding two header tubes where they rubbed up against the passenger inner fender. The summit cheapies even fit well on the drivers side, just a couple here and there. For the price I can't complain.

I kept my original 318 k-frame and torsion bars, however I do run the www.engine-swaps.com conversion motor mounts. You'll have to mod the driver's side motor mount perch a bit by doing a little grinding, but it's not hard. I run the 440source deep sump oil pan/pickup and it fits great. Also I run the poly k-frame isolator bushings up front. Really I didn't notice any difference between them and the stock rubber mounts, and those poly bushings are extremely firm compared to the stock rubber bushings. If I had to do it again I would go with the solid aluminum bushings, although they are more money.

I thought I remembered doing this with the 73 roadrunner I had when I was a kid but I couldn't remember if it was a 383 or a 318 I took out to put the 440 in. I think this one has the 81/4 rear end in it not sure on the gears it was a 318 2 bbl auto factory slapstick console car with a 150 speedo. I doubt the 2 bl 318 ever got any use of the 150 speedo hahaha. Did your summit headers seal at the head? I have a set on a 318 in a pick up they never sealed for me so I never planned on buying another set. The TTI headers are way too expensive for this project so I want to find a cheaper set that seal I was thinking of the flowtech headers they sell on fleabay for around $200 any thoughts??????

I cleaned up the sealing flange on mine with a file, also the flange is cut between each header tube. I didn't have good luck getting them to seal with the copper header gaskets but the remflex gaskets did the trick.
