Any body try to install Hotchkis sub frame connectors with torque boxes on an E-body?
I just got a set in and went to fit them when I found that I can't.
It seems that Hotchkis has never seen a Mopar with torque boxes when they were laying out there design.
The upper portion of the connector hits the forward area of torque box and there is no way to get to the spring mount bolts/studs.
Do you think it would be ok to reverse the studs so that the nuts would be on the spring side?

Any suggestions?

FWIW, Here's a picture of the rear of the Hotchkis subframe connectors in a 70 Challenger that does not have torque boxes.

I don't see any reason not to.

You should call them first though. They may be aware of the problem and maybe already have a solution. If they are not aware of the problem they should be made aware of it because that is impossible to fit like that.

I told them, they were not aware of the torque boxes that Mopars came with.
This why I/we have the problem with fitting bolt on no modifying sub frame connectors.
The sugestion i got from Hotchkis was to reverse the studs so that the nuts would be on the rear side of the spring hanger.
This brings me to my question of mounting the studs reversed and nuts on the rear, any forseeable probs?

As long as the nuts do not get in the way of anything it will not matter which side they are on.
