What compression height do I need for a 77 model 360 in order to get the piston as close to the top as possible and how far down will they be on a untouched block, im looking at flattops. Anyone have any ideas?

I think the Keith Black KB107 is 1.675"

It's probably one of the tallest shelf pistons for the 360.
One of the least expensive too.

Vic is right just read what KB says about the required top ring gap. Or if you're not into that you can use Sealed Power H116cp they are a nice piston very similar to the KB- they have a 1.660" comp height and feature coated skirts FWIW and you don't have to gap the rings in any special way.
