his wife drove the car and came home park the car took the key out she said the key was a litte hard to come out but it did..now the next day she goes to get in a go to work car want start lights work horn blow no power to radio,and the motor want even make a noise,replaced switch,and ign. parts that dodge dealership said is the problem car still want do a thing...the switch doesnt seem to lock with the key out you can turn it .any ideas that we can check before just giving money away like for the switch and ign parts.....

Did you try to pump jumper cables on it? wiggle the power and ground at the battery. Did you just replace the switch or the lock cylinder as well? I thought the ignition lock had to be keyed on these.

Are you saying the engine doesn't crank over? And the when you turn the key it doesn't feel like it's engaging the ignition switch? If so the key and tumbler part is not seated in the housing correctly.

hey guys he replaced the switch and the dealership set it up for the same key...when you turn the key to start the car it dont do anything no sound no nothing....had the jumper calbs on it and still go nothing....they told him that most of the time when you replace the switch you should replace the ign. parts what parts i cant say but he did and still got nothing...and thank you guys keep all help comeing

I would check fuse #8 20amp in the PDC (underhood box) thats the power feed for the starter relay. Also are you sure the tumbler is turning the ign switch?

well i think it is turning it but not really sure is there away to check it..as for as the fuse i checked it myself all ar good but i had to leave (had surgery on my shoulder cant take the cool lon) but he was going to try a test the rely in on the strut tower...amymore ideas to check or how to check to switch...man this is just crazy drove the car home now want do anything

man i want to thank you guys for the help you will never guess what the problem is...the starter some how short out had water or some kind of fluid in it..took it to be checked it would not move(test) at all...but thanks
