Looking for options on cleaning a rear diff housing. I will be sandblasting and want to powdercoat, but I think it might be pitted a little too much after that to get that smooth look.

Looking for what other folks have done.

if u dont want to blast it, try some good degreaser and a pressure washer.

Blast it, fill the pits with filler and then just paint it. Paint is easier to touch up as well

Take it to a auto shop and have them hot tank it. The sand gets everywhere and is hard to clean. Powerder coating should give you a smooth look but you'll need to mask off the ends really well.
