Would replacing the "H" crossover style exhaust section on an early B body with the newer "X" style be worth the cost. This is a 452 stroker engine with headers and 3" exhaust system (in excellent condition) but has the earlier "H" style crossover pipe. What kind of HP increase (if any) could I expect with only slipping the "X" in place of the "H".

HP loss or increase wouldn't be significant, with either system,....however the X crossover will produce a more mello "turbo type" sound, where as the H will inpart more of a lopeing rumble resonat sound

Thanks Dayclona,

I really didn't know and thought there might be a performance improvement. If it's only sound I can live with what I have.
