R/T1968R/T OP super stock Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 735 New York	Picked up a 68 HP block cast in late 67. I noticed the normal production number on the pan rail.....PT440..... Upon further inspection I found what appears to be a vin number on the block near the bell housing area.I have two other 68 blocks that dont have this. Is this normal? I will post pictures later. Ive also seen 68s that have the trannys stamped and the blocks not stamped...guess it was the line guys felt like doing that day! "Are you gonna bark all day lil doggy? I want to know if you can do one for me. My engine #'s are PT440S24812718 on bottom rail by the starter and some #'s on the top rear by the oil sending unit 8B383218 Thanks
