this is my first set of new slicks,i finally got a car that has enough power(just barly) that used broke down old tires dont work that good.ive been told to treat the inside,some say with soap and some say baby powder and ive got a couple other suggestions of some weird stuff,anywho what do you guys do to yours? goodyear 32-14-15 d-5

ive always used soap for a lube to mount the tyres but how is it applied as a sealant?do you just paint it on full strenth or as a dilluted mixture?do you cover the entire inside?

Are you trying to keep the tires from leaking? That's what the soap is for. My tire guy used to coat the inside (lightly) with Dawn dish soap. He says the new tires have a better carcass and they don't need the soap any more. I went through 3 sets of Goodyears last year with no coating of any kind inside and had virtually no leaks.
When I put my car in the shop for it's winter freshen up the first week of November I put the slicks at 11 pounds and when I checked them a couple days before Christmas they were still at 10.
