1st of all i am really green with this B1 motor and i'm not going to make it look like i know something i do not so i need some help in getting this B1 motor plumbed correctly.
i need to know where these 4 lines go to.
i believe they may go to the oil pan but i'm going to need a custom pan for my 65 dodge with a center link hole so disregard the pan that on there now.
1st is the front passenger side head 90 degree line
2nd the 2 rear head fittings in the back of the head one on each side of the head.
3rd there a 90 degree fitting at the bottom of the block near the oil pump. thanks!

The 4 fittings in the heads should be oil reurns to
the pan(look to see if they are at the lowest location
in the head for the oil to return)... at least thats
what my B1/MC has them for.... no clue to the other
fitting

i believe that is all oil suply with the main feed of the side of the block.not a TS head but orig and all are plumbed the same i think.the supply is a #6 and return are #8.i could be wrong.

Oil return lines from the heads. They can drain back to the bottom of the block, the oil pan, or to a dry sump suction line, all are builders choice.

i know the originals and TS heads are a different animal but i'm pretty sure that fitting placement would be in the water on an original

i believe this to be a vacuum pump fitting in the valve cover.

I cant believe that the an fittings in the heads are for the oil drain back. That hole is usually .900 down from the corner valve cover bolt. I would definitely give scott a call to see what those holes could be for. No to mention that there are no oil drain back holes in your heads at all.

My TS engine has all those same pluming...

The four out of the head are water. My engine only has water flowing through the heads.

Valve cover one is most likely vacuum pump. but then again the one in the intake could be used for the same reason.

But im 99% sure they are for the water. Ill show you a pic of mine. i've also got two little water lines coming out between the side by side exhaust valves going directly into the water pump.

The TS heads have no oil return lines.

Maybe my pic can help. i have the water being pumped to the back of the heads through them and come back out heading to the rad

DIABLO, Doug do you have any more pictures for reference. what did you do for a distributor?
also id like to see more on your water pump setup.
i plan on using a reverse flow indy setup like on my 588.
thanks for the pictures.

Doug, amazingly confusing looking engine. You guys are part time plumbers, aren't you? Can't wait to have B1 something in my junk.Someday.... Doug, how about a closeup of that distributor and wiring..

my engine is apart so i cant really get any more pics than what i have... ill look through my comp pics and see what else i have.

For a Dist my heads were machined so any stock width Chrysler dist would fit. From your pictures i can see yours has not had the machining. So don't really have a choice but to run an offset off or buy a front mount one.

The An fitting coming out of the oil inlet will go to your pressure line coming out of your dry sump.
My engine has a plate that bolts on instead of just a an fitting. both do the same thing.

For my water pump set up. i have the "out" of the pump with a "Y" thats splits into two runs to the back of each head. Comes out the front back into a "Y" and down to my rad. The two little lines out the sides of the heads between the exhaust valves run into a T i just tapped into the water pump itself.

If you have a water block i'm not really sure if you can set it up with way. Maybe my advise would be to use a head gasket that will block the water to the block and just run it through the heads. I
ve got a solid block and never have had a heat problem.

I'll see what pictures i have.

The lines in the heads are water. The line where the oil pump mounts is likely for an external belt drive pump. The one in the valley, could be for a vacumn pump or dry sump scavenge line.

Why don't you just call Allen who sold you the motor? I'm sure he could tell you everything about the motor since he built it and has done so much work for you over the past few yrs?

Only distributor that is gonna wotk on that TS motor without some serious whittling is an Predator style offset or a front mount. Like Diablo said they are water lines. The intake fitting was likely for the vac pump as well as the vc fitting. Maybe they used both or more likely tried the valley area found it pulled to much vac and went to the cover, or vice versa. As for plumbing they certaily can be a challenge.

Heck I have plenty of lines on mine and it is a lowly MC motor. Betweent the oil set up, remote filter, reverse water pump, cooling line to the heads, and the vac pump I almost need a union plumber to work on it. I cannpot imagine the pain of trying to get it all in a stock engine compartment escpecaily with a dry sump in the mix

Hope this works out for you. May not be the most bracket race friendly choice either. Especailly when hot lapping. Likely a Q16 type set up where they can tow to the line and back, might invest in a good chiller set up. Oh wait that is even more plumbing.
