KB website doesnt have any pictures of it.
anyone have any pictures of what it looks like?
or maybe the Ray Barton Pump or keep the Titan i have.
any suggestions.new motor is getting close to going in.

You can get it with a #20AN inlet or a #16AN inlet.

I have a static pickup with baffles in the pan.

Give them a call .

So if that the case, what oil filtration system is used with these top shelf pumps in the 28 to 33gpm range ??

Dean, what do you use for a filter??The milodon I use flows 19 to 23 GPM.I use a dual filter set up with prefilters in the 2 pick-up lines. The Moroso filters I use flow 16GPM each with NO BY-PASS

i'm really not trying to be a smarta$$ here but you guys need to do a little thinking about the mechanics of fluids and exactly how the oil system works. for a given viscosity and pressure there will only be X amount of oil flowing through the engine regardless of the pump used. i seriously doubt any of these engines is demanding the type of flows i see listed here. any more than the engine flows is wasted power and unnecessary load on the drive system (and your wallet). if the engine needs 10 GPM and you put a 30 GPM pump on it guess what, the other 20 is being pumped in circles. the oil filter ONLY needs to flow what the engine demands the rest is spilled back to the pump suction. Dean's engine would probably demand the most oil of the majority of builds because he's oiling two turbochargers. really give it some thought, again for a given viscosity and pressure there will only be so much oil flowing through the engine. as an example ken bowers was running a stock pump (3/8" pickup) with a deep pan on his 500" b1 superstreet cuda and it worked fine. iirc that car was running >150 mph

i really don't know and am not preaching to run a stock pump just that i think guys really get carried away with this one. i used to think that the bigger the pump the better, in reality the best pump is the smallest one that will develop the desired pressure for a given crank speed. if you use a stock pump with a spring (or adjustable setup like milodon sells) and get the pressure you want than that should be all the pump you need. for the most part it's been the suction side of the system that's been restrictive so you end up going to an external feed. personally i think the pump covers like the one Muscle Motors is selling with a stock or HV pump would fill most needs. i would prefer to use an iron pump but there aren't any that have an external feed like the milodon, i don't really care for using the spacer setup. a stock style HV iron pump with an external feed provision like the milodon and one of the external feed MM type covers with cast in filter adapter would be as far as i could see going before switching to a dry sump anyhow. Andy Finkbeiner did some oil pump research and i'm sure is more qualified to offer an opinion but i get the impression the data he collected is somewhat proprietary. i've said it before, racers are like crows we like shiny objects, CNC anodized aluminum components are visually stimulating

BTW i would say the milodon setup while not pretty should satisfy just about any situation as long as you make sure there aren't any leaks on the suction side which would leak air and get bubbles in the system. imho they should definitely retire that hokey filter adapter setup though.

this is a pic of a modified stock cover before the MM type covers were around which is what i would use now.
