i really don't know and am not preaching to run a stock pump just that i think guys really get carried away with this one. i used to think that the bigger the pump the better, in reality the best pump is the smallest one that will develop the desired pressure for a given crank speed. if you use a stock pump with a spring (or adjustable setup like milodon sells) and get the pressure you want than that should be all the pump you need. for the most part it's been the suction side of the system that's been restrictive so you end up going to an external feed. personally i think the pump covers like the one Muscle Motors is selling with a stock or HV pump would fill most needs. i would prefer to use an iron pump but there aren't any that have an external feed like the milodon, i don't really care for using the spacer setup. a stock style HV iron pump with an external feed provision like the milodon and one of the external feed MM type covers with cast in filter adapter would be as far as i could see going before switching to a dry sump anyhow. Andy Finkbeiner did some oil pump research and i'm sure is more qualified to offer an opinion but i get the impression the data he collected is somewhat proprietary. i've said it before, racers are like crows we like shiny objects, CNC anodized aluminum components are visually stimulating BTW i would say the milodon setup while not pretty should satisfy just about any situation as long as you make sure there aren't any leaks on the suction side which would leak air and get bubbles in the system. imho they should definitely retire that hokey filter adapter setup though.
