07 Grand Caravan rear disc brakes

Okay I am in need of new pads on the 07 Caravan never done rear disc pads ,,,,, how do I open up the calipers to put in new pads? Is there something different when opening the caliper on account of having a emergency brake?

Been reading up on rear pads but found no mention of the E brake ,,,,,,, doesn't the E brake need to be adjusted on account of the new thicker pads?

If you have an 07 (RS), the ebrake shoes are drum style under the rotor. You can check them when you pull the rotors to have them turned or replaced, then readjust as you would any drum brake system. It really has nothing to do with your disc brake system as it is a seperate brake. If you have and 08 (RT), Your ebrake cable will go into the caliper. The caliper will need to be pressed in and spun clockwise at the same time.

RS/RT I think is the body designation (like the '94-01 rams are BR's the sebring stratus were JA's, the redesign are JH's, etc

Just look at the park ables. If they arent attached to the calipars it has the drum type park brakes. The ones that screw in are easy also as long as you have the tool.Rocky
