do you guys think i would pick up going from my hp950 to a 750 that has a little work done to it..heres the motor spec

30" 340 ( bout 11.1)
bme piston on h beams
head flow 240/140@500
xs282s solid comp cam 520/540
36 degrees locked out dist. msd6al /auto lite 63 plugs 40gap
x-cal intake port matched with hp950 82 fr 4.5 pv/88 bk no pv
stock stroke milo deep pan
727 rev patt/ 9.5 verta 5000
8 3/4 4.57 gears
27/10.5 qtp
8 gal cell
1970 duster
02/03 ss springs/90/10 fr/long mp drags back

1.67 60' / 7.54 et /89. mph

what's a 30" 340? from everything else you listed it sounds like a pretty mild combo.
i'd close the plug gap to .035 and run a good 750 carb. (i don't know if your 750 carb is any good though). i think the motor will be more crisp and overall e.t. and mph better.

hay thanks Dram i meant 30 over hahaha..yea the 750 was done by a carb shop it was a older BG750 thanks

5000 stall I like the bigger carb

Have you tried smaller jets!! look big especially primaries. might explain less that perfect but not bad 60 and 1/8 mph??

I would go back to 78 front with the PV and 86 back no PV??

The autolite plug AR 51 is a race plug.It will make more power than the 63.I run 80 jets squared 750 proform.
