We're going in reverse here?,....people clammer for years "Oh God giv us full qtrs! please".....do yourself a favor, save up your coin, don't bother with patches, 1/2 panels etc,....do it right, do it once, you'll be glad you did,....your doing a Charger, it's worthy of it,....if it was a clapped out 4dr A body, I'd say go for it, save a few bucks,....but not a Charger

Check the Moparts new product section. Alot of places giving discounts on AMD parts. I've used the quarter skins before and with all the extra work it takes to make them kind of fit, it's not worth it. I just got a pair of full quarters from Roseville Chrysler and I can tell you that the quality is as good as Ma Mopar ever had. The time saved in the installation is way more than a few bucks saved on the parts. I got mine for $599 ea.

Full quarter panels worth every penny, but for someone who wants to save a buck and doing the work himself, skins will work too, just alot more welding, grinding and bodywork

If you look around and check a few suppliers you can get a set for about $1100-$1200, plus shipping, unless you can pick them up?.....after your done welding the 1/2 skins, and doing all the body work to get them ready for prime/ blocking you'll be .......buy the full qtrs, plus once you open the car up, you'll find more that needs repair or replacement,....it's a never ending deal, just do it right, or you'll be revisiting it down the road, the "corner cutters" allways do

Your right, don't get me wrong full qtrs is the way to go. From what I've read other brands of skins were bad, stamping not good, bad lines, bad fit, metal to thin. And there is alot of cars out there with skins on them. I'm sure it took alot of work to make them look good. I just thought maybe if AMD was making skins that they may be good and fit better, have good body lines, not be wavy, and the only part that would need work is were the weld is,and save me a few hundred $$$. For me a hundred $$ here and hundred $$ there is alot. Just trying to get some ideas.

If AMD's patch panels are the same quality as the full quarters, that's the way I'm going to go even if they have full quarters available. It may take me longer to put a patch panel in but I fear that for a novice like me, trying to install a full quarter and get everything to line up, like the trunk and the door, may be hard for me to do acceptably.

Do you plan on using the full panel or cut it apart for patches? Can you imagine how much work it is to weld, grind and finish a 5 foot joint? If you just plan on doing patches behind the wheels or something it might work, but then you could handmake those patches anyway.

I agree, I $1300.00+/- vs $600.00 +/- is money saved for some other part of the restore that time cannot resolve. Getting back to the original post, why aren't some AMD parts listed on AMD's site, but found elsewhere.

For 70 Coronet and 73/74 Charger crowd,
skins are still the only option and they suck!
I can't beg enough for these...
But unless the moparts crowd screams loud enough
it's doubtful AMD is going to make these...

Which is a shame... If they made these I would buy them plus all the other parts
(trunk floor, wheelhouses/ extensions etc..
w/o them (full OEM Quarters) the rest of the parts
can just sit on the shelf...
