I use studs and frankly we use the impact to put them(the nuts)on with Of course it is juts a little 3/8" one.

I hav1n`t actually checked the torque on mine (K/B block - 'Glide ). I would assume it to be 45 - 50 ft lbs. The belhousing and the block are both ally , so the expansion rates will be similar . Chryco
P.S. I only use stainless fasteners going into aluminum ,a little Neverseize doesn`t hurt either.
Gas is fer washin' parts ....Alky`s fer drinkin' ...Nitro`s fer Racin'!

The 3/8 bolts I would torque 35-40 and on the 7/16 I would torque to 50. Definitely use neverseize if the threads are aluminum. I would not run studs unless you have a removable trans tunnel. I would think it would be a pain in the butt with a shield, studs and stock tunnel to pull the trans out, since you are going to build it yourself just my

If they are 3/8 like an iron block,35 to 40.The lower 2 that screw into the trans plus the starter are 7/16 and I would torque them to 50.
