I agree that there's probably no need to plug the holes. Like Allen said, with the -1 Indy's there's nowhere for the oil to go, except maybe out around a less than perfect head gasket seal. Wanting to eliminate any potential oil leak source I went ahead and plugged them.

My block's back at the machine shop right now but it's the same as yours.

The oil galleries I circled on your picture are what supplies the oil to the rocker stands. They should be drilled and tapped, with a set screw installed? Look down in the two holes from the face of the block. I think its about a 3/8-16 black oxide coated set screw with a .040 hole through the middle.

Yea thats what was confusing me as in andyf's book his world block dont look like mine either! I must have gotten a prototype block... everyone always tricking WeDgiE

One more thought....
The Indy kit does a great job of oiling the rockers on stock blocks..It wont be much diff than a aftermarket block cause your pulling oil from basically the same place.

I was told that oil up through the pushrods was good for harmonics also

I just bought a 3/8 hex plug from the local hardware store.
It's a "set screw".

My block had the set screws installed when I received it but they had the .040 oil holes in them. I just filled the holes with Permatex Ultra Black and let it set up a few days.

Will the standard Indy oil line kit to the heads work with a aluminum world block! also I was curious about restricting oil to the heads cause I will have pushrod oiling also... here is a reference pics! seem logical. thx

Well my oil line kit showed up today from mancini and I guess I dont have to worry about tapping the brass fittings as I guess the new kits come this way! also in the kit I got the little set screw plug to block oil to the top end!

Is that pic the block plug or the oil line for the heads? That hole looks a lot bigger than 0.062" dia.

No pushrod oiling is a good idea..Running the Indy lines is the bad idea...Actually they are ok but if I were to choose I would go pushrod oiling with the correct rockers for it.

So No indy oil line kit with T&D's ...
