Funny thing.. I have a good friend whose Challenger was coded 999 & was Bright Green Poly.. He was real excited about it & his wife hated it... He wound up painting the car FJ6 Sassy Grass...

Talking about the R/T..It's a toss up paint it factory sublime or this color....

How about a few pics of your resto candidate.

Would love to...but the R/T is tucked away in storage at the race track....lol

Mark... I have been doing alot of thinking..And after looking it over...The R/T need more then I am ready to do at this time... ie frame rails,floors,quarters...ect I have honestly decided that it makes more sence to do up the 500 Car.The one I picked up and sold then bought back again..Realisticlly It makes more sence to focus on that one...It is way to nice to cut up as a donor.... Since I have all the sheet metal..and the built motor and trans...and beside I can paint it any color I want...

oh yea here is the pic... .

It looks good in the dark green its wearing now. Have you considered leaving it that color?

I would stick to a color known to be available in 1970. That original would like nice, but if not go FJ6 or something like that.

My R/T is not pictured its a J5 car..

I have decided to do this 500 first as a R/T..so I can paint it any color...maybe f6

Right, you can paint it any color you like. Clone or no clone, nothing makes me click "back" on my browser like seeing a pre '70 car painted plum crazy. Same rules apply here in reverse.

Your R/T sounds like a cool car. Had a FJ5 white top...white stripe...black interior as my first car when I was 16. Still had number matching motor (stamped HP2) also. don't know where it ever ended up but also loved that color on those cars. I will try to post a pic sometime.
