You'll be fine. I'm running stock mid 70's pushrods and rockers on a lunati voodoo 60303 which is not far in spec from the 275hl. Some guys have said the HD rockers are the same as the mid 70's rockers. Also other guys are running stock rockers with considerably more lift and/or duration than the 275hl.

Regular pushrods just have the rounded ball end on both sides. I'm sure you can get some used stockers for cheap or buy some new one for cheap from 440source.

You should be more concerned with the spring pressure. Those stamped steel rockers can't handle much more spring pressure than stock springs. I learned the hard way on a 440 GTX I owned when I was your age. The result was 2 bent pushrods,a rocker arm with the pushrod cup missing and a blown head gasket.

If you think your build was expensive just wait till you see the cost to fix it when it breaks due to short cuts and inferior parts

But I think you should still be ok unless you want to rev to the moon.

I am using the HD stamped rockers (purchased around 2006) on Edelbrock heads/springs, with a .501 lift, 245 duration cam (Isky) and haven't had any problems, though I haven't put lots of miles on it.

When I was deciding which rockers to use, I remember seeing an online article by a mopar magazine, they had used I think one of the Comp Cams hi lift cams and used stamped rockers. There was a comment that they are plenty strong, or something along those lines. Anyways, no problems here.

I ran the same cam with HD rockers and it kept spitting push rods. The ramps are very aggressive on that cam. I even tried SmithBros for a perfect fit and had the same problem. Changed to adjustable rockers and solved the problem. Lucky no damage.I ran cams with more lift...old style, and had no problems.

I ran used stock rockers on a 383 with the MP .484 cam for just over 7 years with zero problems. Plenty of street miles and I raced the car a few times a year. Ron

Using factory 1976 rockers with zero problems on a built 440.

Summit has the push rods for like 30 bucks. My kid has them in his 62 413.Just put new TRW rocker on last year when we put my 516s with the heavier Comp springs on.He had been running the stock 62 rockers with the Hughes cam with my old Isky springs for 8 years with no problems. The stock Eddy springs arent very stout anyway.Rocky

There is more chance of severe damage to pushrods and rockers with too little spring pressure than a little over what you need.

Make sure you get the springs for the cam you are running or have the Pressure checked. I always tried to find a set off a lower mile 400 or 440 because the Rockers do get thin with a lot of miles and will push through. Make sure the Shafts are not scarred from the Rockers also. New ones are cheap compared to damage if something binds up or lets loose.
