A lot heavier than they were 40 years ago.I used to put my B body one on my chest and lift it in.Now I use a floor jack and my sons to help.Worst part was that darn drain plug digging into your chest.Rocky

My last Dr's visit he told me at my age I was done building muscle, and now I'm just building fat. As another member states they are twice as heavy putting them back in. I won't attempt it by myself.

FWIW, AndyF measured the difference between a factory cast iron case and a Passon Aluminum case. 30 lbs reduction. Results at the bottom of this page.
