There may be different answers to your question....and it's possible that the (curb weight) as listed in the web may or may not be accurate enough. I use a Gtech Pro meter that measures my 1/8 mile 1/4 mile times as well as HP and Torque. A really cool device that is endorsed by the NHRA for accuracy and it requires (very minor) calibration. One of the things it asks for is the exact vehicle weight. Well, the advertised (curb weight) on the web is not the same if you changed the heads, intake, wheels/tires, etc.etc.etc.. it does not account for your weight or gas/water in the tank, all of which could effect the weight of your car by a few hundred pounds. I use the local feed store that has scales built for farm truck to drive up on and it's accurate within a few pounds. Just an alternative if you want to be accurate.

The E-Body with a small block engine should roughly weigh 3280 lbs. This is with a full gas tank and nobody in the car.
Hope this helps.
That's a good number for an a body. My 70 340 e body weighs 36XX lbs.

'71 Cuda weighed 3,260 lbs with everything as original save for the A/C compressor. Even had full undercoat.
Jumped to 3,440 with BB/727 install.

I guess I have to clarify. When I weighed this car it was on a Washington State Patrol truck scale. Gawd knows how accurate it was. But I think it's within a 200 lb. margin one way or the other. Probably the other!

I just looked at my paper work from Galen and with my options (very few) he shows my Shipped Weight for my 340/727 Challenger weighing in at #3020 which after looking at all of the above weights, this has to be too low. Note: If the shipped weight means with very little gas, than a full 18 gallon tank would add apx. 108lbs (6 lbs/g) to the above figure to total 3128lbs. That still seems light to me.

My '72, no windshield, back window, bumpers or back seat, with fiberglass trunk lid, hood, fenders and front valance weighed in at 2950 lbs with an iron headed 318 and a 904. 14" rallye wheels and a rear sway bar as well. Tank may have been half full, can't remember. I know the hood itself weighs a good 50 lbs more than my fiberglass hood. Full trim I could see 3300 lbs.

1974 Challenger, 360, 727, tied frame, sixpoint cage, aluminum intake, headers, full exhaust, 15X7 steel rims, full interior, non a/c car, fiberglass bumpers = 3505 lbs. It weighs a little more now with the steel bumpers for a '70.

Too many cars, too many parts, too little coin, too little space to work in, too little time left to make it all happen!
Update: down to one ride, still too many parts, a little more jingle in the pocket, gaining space, and it's going to happen this year!
