i cant speak for everybody else, but this year my car sat in my trailer in my driveway hooked to my truck , with me watching the radar all weekend. i live 3and a half hours form there and had been anticipating that weekend for a long time. i hated i couldnt come but wasnt because i didnt want to. i woulldnt care if they did vs the world or not, pound for pound i will put my demon against any comperable ford or chevy i aint scared. if that bring the coins to keep it going who cares. i hated it when they moved it from reynolds , at my back door had to have been a cheaper venue. i think its the date also , hard to commit on memorial day weekend with all the family obligations. maybe even a week or two earlier or later might help, im just saying.....

they run chevy's in T/A? I think Lindsey drives a chevy powered dragster for somebody though.

Lindsey is not driving a T/A anymore. She has a 57 Corvette roadster she races in S/G and a BBC powered S/C dragster. Her brother is building a T/S Firebird.

I'm not going to drive 6hrs ea way in my case to just go to a every day bracket race I can do that 45 min from home.

If its VS the world I wont go. I can see all the chevy CRAP I want at the local tracks. No disrespect but I wouldnt have allowed the Dart there either with that engine. Not trying to start an agruement but thats my

the Woods should put the show on (track owners) they could make a ton of money I think. have some after race intertainment. like cheap said, in middle april. what more could you ask for?

Last time I checked, the Woods were driving Chevy's

I thought you Mopar guys were footfeeders?? Only 54 cars at SGMP's 5grand footbrake races, why aren't you there??

Yep, and it is that mentality that will end your mopar show.
I have heard the same arguement that vs. the World makes it just another bracket race, really?? The bracket races I attend have 2 maybe 3 Mopars total...
I don't see it, a track with 50-60 Mopars vs 50-60 other brands is NOT just another bracket race. Keep that form of thinking and that race will not exist, with no one to blame but yourselves.
You just don't want to lose to a chevy of ford like you usually do. [/quote

I could care less about who I win or lose to but for me its not worth a 12 hr round trip and the expense of motels to go run a regular old bracket race and any way you slice it if it is all makes then I can drive 45 minutes and do that at a fraction of the cost.I have to pick and chose my races as my funds are limited.

I wish the show was still at Silver Dollar that was my favorite show of the year. That being said I had a great time at the SGMP race a couple years ago when they had the 10.00 fast 16 race and all. I didn't go last year because everything went to 1/8th mile racing I am not pulling that far just for another 1/8th mile race. I love the Mopar shows but they are all disappearing and I think a large part of the reason is that they have been turned into just another bracket race, they just aren't special anymore.

Just my but, don't schedule this race on top of another including divisionals. If you want to bring in as many cars as possible, I would think a late season race would be best. Maybe it would even bring some yanks down?

Oh just the same 'ol chevy CRAP that has been going on sice the 50's. Always was junk always will be junk....thats why parts are so cheap for them. Just picking but I do HATE a Mopar vs. the World event. They did that in Atlanta and that didnt take off either.

I moved to Florida from Pittsburgh in 85' and Mopars are not nearly as popular down here, especially at the track. It hasn't changed a bit in all the years. I'd go back to SGMP, I was there in the smoke a couple years ago, I do think I'd think twice if it was a vs. world race. Had a bad experience at Moroso at their old Mopar show/race all the local chevy guys were treated like royalty and us mopar guys were treated like out-of -towners. Guy told staging lanes were closed and I had missed my time run and as Im turning around he motions a chevy guy to come on in...

Lot of politics @ Moroso, its all about who you know. I've seen some krazi stuff going on their, it happens @ allot of tracks, but its bad, even with the new managment

Been there from the start. Will attend this event as long as they have it... I like the all Mopar rule... We just have to get more Mopars there. I only have a 4 hour tow to get there but have some friends that pull 10 hours from NC to this event... Hopefully the economy will let more people attent this year... I understand its on the schedule even though its not published yet.......
