I ground mine...Is it a standard 2.375 journal rods? It will clear the pickup if its 3/8 NPT. Grind enough to clear by atleast .050 or so.

That might work on some but....... It wont matter, it's not the pickup that hits..Its the rod bolt hitting the oil galley boss where the pickup screws in the block... Atleast thats what hit in mine..Now with 2.2 cranks, they dont come close. It was probably 2003 when I assembled that particular engine..so its hard to recall some details.
no, its actually hittin the pu tube,i really dont want to grind on a rotating assby. i just had balanced.
