I was wondering if anyone knew of a refurbish or rebuild kit (including weather stripping) for a sunroof on a 73 dart.

No kits but a guy in CO Tom Hemenway sells the weatherstripping & seals.

I don't have his PH# handy right now.

I'm sorry his name is David Hemenway, Englewood CO and ph# is 303-707-5579. he may be able to help you with parts also or put you in contact with someone. Try www.arizonaparts.com as that's where I got some sunroof parts from but it was many years ago.

I used his reproduction seals on my old 1973 SpaceDuster340 and he also sold me a good used rear weatherstripping.

Make sure your drain tubes are in good shape and exit out the bottom as they handle any small leakage. I don't think Chrysler/ASC made the sunroof to be totally leak proof hence the drain tubes.

A good test of your sunroof is to open it up 1 inch, then wash your car with it open 1", if it leaks, then your drain tubes are clogged. The weather stripping just keeps the dirt and wind out.

I got my weather stripping from Dave for my sunroof. Was a little expensive, but a the time mine was completely gone.I took my sunroof completely out. And with MY340 and 727340dart(?) went through mine and got it working in great shape.they are easy to work on once you get them apart. Parts are hard to find though.

Hey MY340 do you have another number for Dave on the weatherstripping? I tried the number in your post and the mail box is full and it says it is for a girl with the first name of Crystal???? I am working on a 73 Dart Sport 340 with the factory sunroof and am also in need of some parts including the weatherstripping. Does anyone know if there is any other companies out there repopping items for these sunroofs? Any help would be great.

I believe he advertises in Mopar magazines. I'll double check the number but it may just be an old number by now.

That phone is correct. I got my weatherstripping from Dave several years ago. I'd keep trying.
