I know they used to be cats meow, bees knees or whatever other clever saying that means intake of choice. Are they still that good? I know lots of the Super Stock guys still run them, but how do they compare to the other intakes on the market today?

And yes, it's winter and I'm bored

They're pretty decent.

I'd rank it as follows:

For street engines:

#1. EB Air Gap
#2. EB LD340
#3. OF Port-O-Sonic

All 3 are great intakes, your results may vary depending on your engine combo.

It seems I recall reading in one of the Direct Connection/Mopar Performance Engine Manuals that the Holley Strip Dominator was at least as good as the Port-O-Sonic, but without the need for popsicle sticks! (This is with the Thermoquad carb) Can't say how they compare with a Holley carb.
