My friend is adding a tach to his dash and wants to make sure that he drills the hole in the correct place. Any pictures or info will be greatly appreciated.

Here you go, this one is an original. It's easy to locate as non tach cars had a demple where the hole belongs, you just need to drill it to the appropriate gromet size.
